Philippine Airways (PAL) introduced the launch of a 3rd weekly flight from Japanese Samar’s Borongan Airport to Cebu starting Wednesday, 18th September.

The brand new schedule augments the airline’s present Monday and Friday flights.

The addition of the Wednesday schedule stems from an up to date settlement signed by PAL president and CEO Stanley Ng and Borongan mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda final twelfth September which goals to assist town’s financial and tourism progress.

Ng stated of this new settlement: “Our dedication to dependable and accessible air journey aligns with town’s mission of fostering improvement and bringing hope to Japanese Samar. By increasing our flights, we purpose to attach communities and unlock additional alternatives for the area.”

Industrial flights between Borongan and Cebu first took off in December 2022. Since then, the route has been important for passengers touring to and from Japanese Samar. At the moment, over 19,000 passengers have flown the Borongan-Cebu route and cargo operations proceed to flourish.
